“Greetings, I am Aqsa Khatib, a passionate psychologist and writer who aims to be an oasis of hope for people navigating the choppy waters of mental health.
With my qualifications in Family & Couple Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP),Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Psycho-oncology, I have had the honour of helping people and families get through some of the most trying times in life.
My method creates a safe haven for healing and growth by fusing profound empathy with professional knowledge. Writing enables me to expand this area by offering readers knowledge and resources that encourage them to take care of their wellbeing and deal with life’s challenges head-on.
I have been working as a psychologist for 2+ years with experience with the adolescent and adult population and have a passion for sharing my personal life philosophy and learnings. I also think that words have the ability to inspire and heal. When I am not guiding clients through life’s ups and downs, I typically write articles that try to reassure and enlighten others who are struggling with their mental health. Because I think there is no one-size-fits-all method to recovery, my practice is based on a multidisciplinary approach, (which includes:eclectic approach that combines different schools of thought and therapeutic interventions like acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), existential therapy, expressive arts therapy, behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), and mindfulness-based therapy, which is tailored according to the clients.).
My passion outside of therapy has always been writing. It is how I connect with those who might not be ready for therapy but benefit from a gentle prod toward mental health and self-care. I am always intrigued by the tales we all own, and I want to assist others in rewriting theirs with empathy and purpose. When I am not working, you may find me reading, exploring poetry, trying out different outfits with some soft glam makeup, catching up and venting with friends, or looking for the ideal peaceful place to unwind.”
